Our Platform

1. FOSSIL FREE RESEARCH: We believe that Harvard’s institutional and academic power should not be bent toward biased research and greenwashing. Harvard must reject contributions from fossil fuel companies toward its research, especially its climate research, where much of this funding is currently directed

2. REINVESTMENT: Harvard has been an irresponsible neighbor and contributed to the climate crisis in the world at large. Harvard should reinvest the endowment money it took from the fossil fuel industry into renewable energy and sustainable community development in Cambridge.

3. CLIMATE JUSTICE ON CAMPUS: Harvard should cultivate educational programs and career initiatives focused on sustainability, and reject campus career recruitment from fossil fuel companies.

4. DEMOCRATIZATION: The Harvard Corporation and Harvard Board of Overseers should be democratized. Corporation members should be elected, not nominated. Students, workers, Cambridge/Boston community members, and alumni should be eligible for seats on the Corporation and the Board of Overseers.
